If you were to ask someone which is the most famous puzzle in the world, the answer has to beRubik’s Cube, for until now more than 350 million Rubik’s Cubes have been sold all over the world, and that makes it the world’s top selling puzzle game. It was invented by Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Ern Rubik in 1974 and while it was initially designed by Henry as a tool to explain and teach his students about the intricacies of 3-Dimensional objects it became an international phenomenon.

The Rubik’s Cube traditionally comes with 6 faces and has the 3x3x3 version. Each of the six faces is covered by nine stickers in six solid colors, which are white, red, blue, orange, green, and yellow. Each face can turn independently and the solver has to move the tiny cubes to make each of the 6 faces of the Rubik’s Cube into one single color. The puzzle has annoyed, amazed, puzzled, frustrated and bugged people for generations and that is perhaps why it almost has a cult following.
